NAASF
From January-March NAASF (North American Airlines Ski & Snowboard Federation) organizes a meeting of 250-400 folks from airlines all over the U.S. at different ski resorts to meet new people, race (airline vs. airline), hot tub, dance, group ski, eat great food, and have an unbelievable time!
The week runs from Sunday evening to Friday morning and usually goes something like this: Sunday, arrive and get settled, meet friends for drinks or a soak in the hot tub!
Monday, ski for the day (a practice race course is set up to train, if you wish) and Welcome Party at night. You’ll find it’s a fun, friendly group. Tuesday our snowboarders hit the slopes for their race. You are NOT required to race and the majority of club members do not, but we would love to have you help our team. The camaraderie around the race course can be fun! Tuesday evening we meet for a team dinner or social. Wednesday is the day the skiers take to the race course for the slalom race, come out and support your fellow club racers! Wednesday night is our theme party night, time to show your creative side. In the past we’ve had toga parties, pj parties, sock hops, super heroes, Harley Hog & Heffner, pimps & prostitutes themes. Costumes aren’t mandatory but you’ll find dressing up is half the fun! Nonetheless, the parties are very entertaining as we have some pretty creative and provocative people at these parties! Thursday is another day of racing for our racers this time the giant slalom course is set up. Once again, racing is OPTIONAL! Feel free to join us at the race course or free ski on your own. Thursday night is our final party/awards dinner. Friday morning we make a dash for the airport and go back to the daily grind.
